The course aims to equip the learner with the theory of spoken English and be it as sounds itself a more demanding task of preparing the learner psychologically for the act of converting the theory into practice.

The Method of the course:

The conductors of the course will facilitate pair and group discussions and they will always elicit needs from the learners rather than mere lecturing. Role playing enacting dialogues, evolving situations, are some of the methods followed during the course.

Generally the method will be a form of dialogue between the learner and the facilitator. In the beginning of the course the facilitator will inevitably be the predominant partner. As she/He will be busily involved in the act of imparting rudiments of the theory of spoken form of English.

But towards the middle and certainly at the end of the course a reversal of roles is expected as the end of this Endeavour is to make the learner actually perform the act of speaking English as well as He / She can be possibly expected to perform after taking the course.

The reversal of roles will take shape in the form of Group Discussions, Role-plays and simulation exercises which will instantly ensure greater Learner participation and gradually bring about learner centeredness in the class.

However it should be made clear that the methods so far stated or by no means irrevocable as they may prove to be inimical to learning. Given such a situation the Facilitators of the course will not hesitate to change and conceive of a more favorable and feasible method.
